Thanksgiving

We are back in the real world. The world of having your own computer!! HOORAY! Thanks to bob and allie for the hook-up. I wish you many dirty, messy children...!! Thanksgiving...well, it was the normal hecticness that comes with a Thanksgiving dinner for 20 people. Kids and chaos. They go well together. Ashli, Chris, Anna and Lily were here for the long weekend. We had a great time with them! It was so good to see my girls! Ashli and I enjoyed a 13 hour shopping marathon on Friday. It was AWESOME. I'm glad I didn't know about the Hannah Anderson outlet before now. I would be in serious trouble with mr. swanson if that was the case! I'll post some pictures soon of the girls and my boy and girl. I've got to find the thing that connects the camera to the computer soon....

I am really a parent now- yikes!

Ok, so today was Oliver's Parent-Teacher conference at Preschool. I have been panicking about it for 3 days. I was worried about EVERYTHING. I could just imagine that they were going to tell me that he's a horror, has ADD and is obsessive compulsive. Well, it wasn't that bad. They did say that he is 'talkative' (duh) and 'persistent' (duh again). I think that was nice teacher speak for annoying as hell!!! Anyone who has ever talked to me on the phone can attest to the fact that Oliver has to tell me AT LEAST 35 times that he needs juice. or applesauce. or needs to poop. What a life. Oliver spent the time with his new friend Chloe at Chick-fil-a. Melanie is a braver woman than I am. It was SUBURBIA central. All the cute, put together mom's with their louis vuitton diaper bags having fried stuff. BARF BARF BARF. long absence

Ok. so it has been a really long time since i posted. ridiculous i know. halloween was great- oliver was spiderman and charlie was a chicken. oliver was sooo excited about trick or treating, he kept saying ' you mean i just go up to the house and they'll give me candy?' it was so funny and sweet! charlie stayed at home with nick crying to hand out candy to trick or treaters. she hated the hood on her costume. oliver and i drove over to my mom's house after we were done in our neighborhood, and he asked me ' what comes after halloween' i told him thanksgiving, and he asked ' now, who is going to thanksgive us?' it was hilarious b/c i had been telling him who all was coming to our house for thanksgiving (ashli, chris and girls), and he was soo excited! Another funny Oliver story is that he must be taking cues from sam (his cousin) and he told his babysitter a few months ago that his name is Oliver 'Cool' Swanson, not Oliver Cole Swanson. Pretty funny boy. In preschool he has a friend named Chloe, he came home last tuesday kind of upset and when i asked him why he said that it was because Chloe had cut her hair, ' and i just don't like it, i liked it better when it was long'. i thought that was funny that he is 3 and has an opinion about this! new with charlie, she is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything, and she can stand for 5 seconds by herself without holding onto anything!! she can also say BYE BYE. and BABY. Very sweet (although those two sound kind of similar.) i'll leave you w/ some halloween pictures of spiderman and the baby chickie.

snow, the house, and nick

Well, FINALLY here are some pictures of the snow we had sunday/ monday. Here in Highlands Ranch we got about 5 or 6 inches. Oliver had a blast. Even Charlie thought it was interesting. I am posting some pics of our house. REMEMBER that it is in progress. still stuff in oklahoma and on the way from england. Every piece of furniture in there is from a garage sale or from a thrift store. I'm pretty impressed with myself. :) Nick is in oklahoma this weekend picking up some of our stuff that is there. If you want to see him, go to Galileo's tomorrow night around 5pm. Sad I am not there with him.

head scratching and moving

here is a pic of our charlie doing what she does all the time. scratching her head. since we moved to denver she has had really dry skin. so does everybody else, but it's kind of funny (and a little sad) to see a baby scratching her head. funny. we're moving on saturday! we got the keys last night, so i guess i'll go and clean today and tomorrow! can't wait! i'll post pics as soon as i take some!

Moving in a Week

Hooray! I am so excited to be moving into our own house! It is really time for that. Oliver keeps saying he doesn't want to move, but i think it's because he thinks he'll be moving away from Denver. He doesn't quite understand that we'll just be 10 minutes away from Mimi and Pops. The house is quite nice that we're moving to, it's 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, with 2 living areas and an AWESOME view of the mountians from our deck. Re-church: We have tried 1 church so far while we've been here. I don't know when we'll try another one. who knows?? but, i'll give reports of the ones we've tried, it should be amusing at least. our friends chris and ashli are going to the coldplay concert tonight in Dallas. You are braver than I am, but I hope you have a great time. get some close up pics of Chris Martin for me. He's a hottie!!!!!!

ear infections rule!

This is a picture of Charlie and her cousin Breklinn, they are 3 days apart. Charlie is older. I took the charlie girl to the dr today for her 6 month check up. She weighs in at a whopping 14.8lbs and is 25 5/8 inches long. They were cracking up at her doing the 'sit ups'. When you lay Charlie down flat she lifts her head and feet at the same time like she is doing crunches. hilarious. Also found out she has ANOTHER double ear infection. That is not a good sign! She just had one a month ago. Poor Kid. Oliver got a shot today (the flu shot) and he didn't even cry. He was really proud of himself and so was I ! Hopefully the flu shot will work (he's never had it before). Charlotte will go in 2 weeks for hers. Well, I'm off to work, gotta go get the antibiotics first though!
