A mothers tale of a 4 year old boy, a baby girl, and all things suburban.
is always kind of boring. we have cleaned and organized the kitchen, gone to the grocery store and cleaned out the garage. is my life glamorous or what!! we didn't
even stay up till midnight last night, i think we fell asleep around 11.30. what a way to ring in the new year! we did have fun last night though, we had fondue (our traditional new years eve meal). it would have been more fun with ashli, chris and the girls, wish you would have been with us!! here are some pix from last night.
ok, so karen, you were right. santa was very good to my spoiled brats. not only did oliver recieve cranky (from my mom). but santa brought him...drumroll please....the coveted ROUNDHOUSE. but, to make sure that my holiday was far from perfect, oliver discovered it HIDDEN under stuff in the garage a few days before. so i had to make up some dumb*** story about how santa's sleigh was really full and he had to drop it off early. then, to really top things off I FORGOT CHARLIE! oh yeah, mother of the year, here i come! oliver runs in christmas morning to see what santa brought, and he goes, ' oh, no. santa didn't bring charlie anything. she must be a really naughty girl'. yeah. good move mom. so then came another dumb*** story about how he left it on the front porch for her. i am officially Retarded. nice huh? so, that was our christmas in a nutshell. the kids got ridiculous amounts of toys and oliver is in heaven with all the new thomas train paraphanalia.
ok, so my son is really really loud. so, generally, when he starts to yell about something i just tune him out. this morning (like 2 minutes ago) he apparently hurt himself and just started yelling. nick says, hey, please stop screaming. oliver says back " what? do i have to yell at you to make sure you hear me?" i had to leave the room because i was laughing so hard. i'll tell you what. my son has some kind of mouth on him. i wonder where he gets that??

Here they are...the newest members of our family!
they make my life complete and oh so much easier.
let me say that the most amazing thing about them (so far) is the amazingly HUGE loads of laundry that they do. also, the dryer automatically stops when it senses that your clothes are dry. it's the most exciting thing in my life so far. yeah me!!
The handles on the cup move around to different positions, so that however baby wants to hold it, they can. It can be kind of difficult for a baby to get the last of the sippy cup when the handles are on the side, but when they are in the front, it is an entirely different story! AWESOME CUP!!
